As you will know, we have been speaking to East Renfrewshire Council for a couple of years in our efforts to build our own all-weather pitch. We are now in advanced discussions with the Council and potential funders on this but still have a number of hurdles to clear before we have anything concrete to report.

If we are lucky enough to secure core funding, we will still be required to make a significant contribution of our own to the total project costs of around £600,000. This is the first of what we hope will be a number of events that will allow us raise the funds we need.

As with all of these events, an enormous amount of work goes on behind the scenes to make them possible. Can I personally thank the tremendous efforts of Val Wallace, Alan Dobson and John McDonagh for putting this together, and everyone else who has assisted them.
