Giffnock v Eastwood - 26/10/08

Well what a game, windy conditions, wet surface, but a great pitch for football lead to a thriller.

The game shot into life following a left foot miricle shot from outside the box from Kevin Mallon, didn't know he had a left foot up until the strike, and despite a number of missed chance at both ends the half finished 1 - 0.

There must have been something in the half time water for both teams as the game became an end to end thriller, first Giffnock scored when Liam knocked in from close range after a great Craig Grant cross. but straight away Eastwood hit back. Then we went 3 - 2 up following a great solo run from half way by Simon with a great shot low into the corner, but again Eastwood ht back 3-2.

As the game swayed back and forward we scored a fourth when Chris Stevenson finished off a great move. Surely Eastwood where not beat, but no they scored another tremendous goal to make it 4-3.

Our fifth came from Keano following a great McD run, but alas Eastwood score yet again to make the final score 5 - 4 to Giffnock

I suppose we needed some excitement to keep the cold out but I could have done with out so much excitement

Well done for the victory but we need to loomk at our all out attacking policy when we were caught on the break so often.

See you all at training on Tuesday

John
