AC Malone 2

Entertaining AC Malone we found ourselves with a 2 goal advantage at half time with 2 well taken penalties by Lee Smith. A poor own goal minutes into the second half gave AC some encouragement which was briefly dented when a surging run by Lee was converted with a cheeky Alistar Holmes backhill. Again poor play let a hard working AC side back into the game with a well finished goal. Although generally in control of the game it was a relief when Ian Napier skipped past a couple of players to restore a 2 goal advantage that we were able to maintain. A frustrating game was played by Bar Absolute today with only periodic patterns of decent play, which were good, otherwise a lacklustre performance which must improve if we are to give the top sides in this division a competitive game.
