Hillwood 5
Giffnock S C County 1
Craig Blythe (1)

Dear Readers,

well another week and another defeat and another game where we conceded 5 goals.....but that is where the similarities end as this was a better team performance and we all battled hard as a team and were a bit unlucky with a couple of the goals. However, We were unfortunate to meet an excellent Hillwood team on the top of their game and they thoroughly deserved their victory.

We seemed right up for the game from the off and took a deserved lead with a stunner from Crig who volleyed home from 25 yards...get in!!!It wa sthen very even until we failed to close down their midfielder who smacked it into the top corner from 25 yards as well...you won't see two better goals back to back all season. However, this spurred Hillwood on and they raced into a 3-1 league at half time.
.
We started the second half well enough but a very dubious 4th goal, which was a foot this side of the line, took the wind out of our sails and we then conceded a soft 5th.We dad a few chances to notch a conolation with Martin, Euan and Kevin all going close.

we never stopped battling and suppoting each other which was a pleasure to see and other than some back chat to the ref which led to 2 bookings (£2 fines lads)but it was a lot better than last week in many respects.

I am at a loss to understand the scorelines this season as we are playing better than ever in many respects but are failing to put chances away and are clearly conceding too many...WE WILL CONTINUE TO WORK HARD AT TRAINING AND SUPPORT EACH OTHER AND WE WILL GET RESULTS SOON LADS...STICK IN THERE!!!!!!

Supp mom....Craig once again battled really well and scored another belter and deserved yet another accolade...well done Craig!!!

Coaches mom.....Scott battled and battled and won some tremendous tackles with those long legs, and some great passing and link up play to boot...well done Scott, keep this up.

Come on you Piess!!!!!
