Barrhead 2
Marchwood FC 1

Fraser Cowden (1)

Dear Readers,
well this sums up our season I guess, as we have battled hard and bravely against a very strong but talented Barrhead team. This was a good competitive game of football, excellently reffed on this occasion and there was no problem with any discipline or fouling from either side. However, we once again came up short at the final hurdle and we lost another big game narrowly, again after going 1-0 up with a fine penalty from Fraser.

They played a direct game and we were relatively comfortable biy a long throw was nodde onto our bar and we watched it bounce back and tapped in from 1 yard.
1-1 at h/t.

The second half was dead evn and we coulkd have had a couple as so could they...Lewis had pulled off several good sves, but saw a shot from a free kick go through the wall and he could only parry it to ther striker, who again tapped in from 1 yard with no-one near. Our reaction to second phase ball is very poor I'm afrais and it is something that we will have to work on next season.

We battled all the way to the end and Fraser brough a great save out of their goalie, and Craig just missed a cut back after a fine run.

We pressurised right to the end but the ref blew propmtly and we lost another big game 2-1.

Supp and coaches mom today was Graham who capped his last league game for us with his best game of the season against a very strong forward line....well done Graham,we will miss you next year and good luck at Alloa.
